Over ten years experience tutoring at local tutoring centers and as a private tutor. I am primarily a language arts tutor (reading/writing/comprehension/spelling). I am also experienced working with young students with basic math and older students with study skills [time management and organization]. A major component to my program is listening to both the caregiver and the student to create a personalized motivational chart so that we are all clear on what is to be accomplished and a rough estimate for how long this will take. I find this to be a "best practice" for all.
